Challenge:
Roost's branding must accomplish two goals. First and foremost, it must speak visually to the key qualities that embody the spirit and character of our company. It needs to be memorable and engaging and should support the assertion that Roost - a search engine - is fast and friendly.
How to establish a brand that is memorable and identifiable, yet able to effectively co-exist with and accommodate the co-branding efforts necessary for IDX compliance.
Solution:
Ensure that the Roost brand is strong enough to stand on its own and maintain an overarching identity for the site without competing with or overshadowing the brands of its various MLS sponsoring brokers. Most broker sites tend to have established brands, conveying a serious tone that bespeaks stability and determination. In contrast, the whimsical/playful quality of the Roost brand creates an engaging juxtaposition that establishes an appropriate context for co-branding while minimizing the potential for competition.
